Funding and Participation Guidelines for NDP-VIP
Starting in 2025, NDP-VIP is funded by a grant awarded by the Swedish Research Council (VR). The following guidelines for participation in NDP-VIP activities are effective until further notice.
Participation Guidelines for Full Members
National NDP-VIP courses and activities are free of charge for full members. When an activity takes place at a university other than the member’s home university, accommodation and meals are also covered. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel. For each course or activity, it will be specified whether travel costs may be co-funded by NDP-VIP or must be fully covered by the member’s principal investigator (PI), university, or institute.
Travel Co-Funding
- Co-funding guidelines will be emailed to eligible full members once their participation is approved.
- Applications for co-funding can be submitted no earlier than course completion and no later than four weeks after the course.
- Travel arrangements must be made in accordance with the routines of the member’s department or university.
- A department/university project account is required for reimbursement; no transfers will be made to personal accounts.
- Applications requesting co-funding for short-distance travel (e.g., within the Stockholm/Uppsala region) will not be considered.
- Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of their application and the outcome of co-funding support.
Guidelines
- Travel by train or a single round-trip flight → Up to approximately 2,000 SEK
- Long-distance travel (two flights or a round-trip sleeper train) → Up to approximately 4,000 SEK
Participation Guidelines for Associate Members
Associate members who are not enrolled at a Swedish university or institute may participate in NDP-VIP activities free of charge. However, they are responsible for covering their own travel costs, which must be funded by their principal investigator (PI), university, or institute.
