Application Guidelines for the NDP-VIP Travel Support

Basic criteria

• The applicant must be a registered doctoral student at a Swedish university/institute, or a registered postdoctoral researcher.
• The applicant must be a member of NDP-VIP.
• Each individual grant may amount to a maximum of 10,000 SEK. If actual expenses are lower, only the actual cost will be reimbursed.
• Grants are awarded for participation in an international conference, course, workshop, or a similar activity. 

Application 

Application deadlines are 1 March and 1 October each year.
The application must include:  

• Name, home university, position, and research field 
• Information about the conference, course, or activity
• Conference abstract (if applicable)
• A description of how the conference, course, or activity relates to your research project
• A motivation statement explaining why you want to attend
• A budget outlining the expected costs for participation

The application form for autumn 2026 is now open.
The autumn travel grant can be used for activities taking place between 1 October 2026 and 1 March 2027.
