Funding and Participation Guidelines for NDP-VIP
Starting in 2025, NDP-VIP is funded by a grant awarded by the Swedish Research Council (VR). The following guidelines for participation in NDP-VIP activities are effective until further notice.
Participation Guidelines for Full Members
National NDP-VIP-organized courses and activities are offered free of charge to full members. Additionally, accommodation and meal costs are covered when the activity takes place at a university other than the member’s home university. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travels. For each course/activity it will be stated if the travel cost can be co-funded by NDP-VIP or if it must be funded entirely by their principal investigator (PI), university, or institute.
In case of travel co-funding: an application form and invoices to verify your costs should be submitted to Annasara Lenman (anna-sara.lenman@umu.se) shortly after attending the activity. The application form will be e-mailed to eligible full members upon verification of attendance.
Prior to the activity, NDP-VIP full members should handle travel arrangements according to routines at their respective department/university. A department/university project account is required for the transfer of funds. No funds will be transferred to a personal account. Any application that only requests co-funding for travel within the Stockholm/Uppsala region will not be considered. Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the application and co-funding support.
Guidelines:
1. Travel via train or one flight (including return trip)
→ Up to 2000 SEK
2. Travel longer distances (two flights or a sleeper train, including return trip)
→ Up to 3500 SEK
Participation Guidelines for Associate Members
Associate members who are not enrolled at a Swedish university or institute can participate in NDP-VIP-organized activities free of charge. However, they are responsible for covering their own accommodation and travel costs, which must be funded by their principal investigator (PI), university, or institute.
